Lyon College


Lyon is more than just a college. It's a community distinguished by its academic curriculum, unique honor, and social systems, and award-winning professors.

Founded in 1872, Lyon College is a four-year college of the liberal arts and sciences associated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). 


Last year, 99 percent of Lyon College graduates were employed or continuing their education within six months of graduation (95 percent over the last three years). Lyon graduates work with organizations such as Future Fuel, Teach for America, and Merchants & Planters Bank. In 2016, 50 percent of Lyon graduates continued their education (compared to 16.4% percent around the nation). Lyon graduates have attended Harvard University, the University of Chicago, and King’s College London.
